About the Position: This position is located in the Human Resources Department at Evans Army Community Hospital in Fort Carson, Colorado
Duties
Perform quality control and certification of regulatory guidance for evaluations before submission to HRC IAW with applicable regulations and updated procedures.
Provide services to military personnel who have pay problems, researches pay problems, follows through with the responsible office to alleviate any errors found.
Utilize independent judgment while supporting the HR Chief in Manpower Pool responsibilities during real world disaster scenario planning exercises.
Prepares and reconciles EMILPO reports, AIM, EDAS and MODS reports and/or briefings to inform management of analysis results for use in the decision making
process or for in-progress status information.
Coordinates ceremonies to include Purple Heart and monthly award ceremonies; prepares and processes Personnel Asset Inventories (PAI).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A National Agency Check with inquiries (NACI) is required.
- Employee must be authorized to operate a motor vehicle such as a sedan or van to make distribution runs to other elements on Fort Carson.
- Position requires a pre-employment physical examination.
- A current state drivers license is required. Incumbent will perform local travel on Fort Carson several times a week.

Specialized Experience GS-9: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes demonstrated experience applying Military Human Resource (HR), rules, procedures, and operations in order to process a variety of military HR actions, review military personnel records and documents; perform a variety of automated operations within the lntegrated Personnel and Pay Systems-Army (IPPS-A) and interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System ((PERMS); and Microsoft Office functions such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Political Science.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
