About the Position: Serve as an expert analyst who has mastered the application of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems. Researches, analyzes and develops recommendations on national security and Army strategic issues.
Duties
Perform very broad assignments related to government programs which are of significant interest to the public and Congress.
Exercise the full range of supervisory and personnel management in directing work of staff in the development of long-range goals and objectives.
Serve as an expert analyst using a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems.
Make recommendations on national security and Army strategic issues, to support the DCS G-9 as a key decision maker on Army strategic readiness issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information Intelligence security clearance.
- This position may require occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel Up to 10% of the time.
- Position maintains Top Secret Clearance requiring Drug Test.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Developing recommendations for the Strategic Readiness program on an installation wide scale; Developing strategic directions for manpower, force structure, and/or human resources that would impact agency goals; Facilitating the strategic direction of the organization; Ensuring all organizational strategic efforts support state and federal laws and regulations; Managing resource requirement development within the POM process; and Providing oversight of modernization efforts, particular to facilities analysis.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
