About the Position: Position serves as a Human Resources (HR) Specialist (Military) with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance on military HR management program. Position is in Human Resources Command (HRC), Officer Personnel Management Directorate (OPMD), at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Participate in the compilation or analysis of a variety of military personnel data needed to identify trends, deficiencies, and accomplishments.
Utilize automated systems to generate reports, statistical analysis or briefings.
Present briefings to inform management of trends, deficiencies or accomplishments identified through program analysis.
Perform review and analysis of military personnel strength data versus authorizations by grade plate for the career field and branch.
Prepare reports and present briefings to include branch reviews, promotion stats, accession issues and shortages.
Requirements

- This is a Temporary position intended to last up to 12 months/1 year. A temporary position may be extended to a maximum of three years and may be terminated at any time during the duration of the appointment, depending upon the needs of management.

Experience Required:

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11).
Position may be filled as a TEMPORARY Promotion NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee.
TEMPORARY Promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
Position may be filled as a TEMPORARY Appointment NTE 1 year if the candidate is not a current permanent Army employee.
TEMPORARY Appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Education
Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for required experience to qualify. For this position, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone. Substitution of education for experience is NOT permitted.
