Duties

This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the Functional Lead (Deputy Director) for Warfighter Operational Integration in the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Global C2 Operations and Training Program Directorate. The position provides leadership, analysis and technical support for the fielded C2BMC system to combatant commands and Service users worldwide. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. As a Supervisory Program Analyst at the NH-0343-4 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include: Supervises a team of Military members, government civilians, SETA contractors and prime contractor staff in all aspects related to C2BMC current operations, contingency deployments, testing and future system development. Directs, analyzes, and provides coordination for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program performance and provides technical feedback to external organizations and customers. Leads coordination with combatant command customers to resolve problems and provide technical expertise for the fielded system. Prepares and approves budget documents to support projects that enhance the fielded system and provide warfighter capability. Monitors and directs daily operations to advise program leadership on operational issues affecting the fielded system to include asset management and providing courses of actions. Reviews and approves operational input to inform the C2BMC requirements process.

  • Must acquire 80 Continuous Learning Points every 24 months
  • May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period

Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH-04 broadband level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below. Specialized Experience (SE) statements will allow for applicants to meet one or two of the SE criteria rather than all inclusive: Lead and/or direct complex analysis of advanced command and control joint programs to include program management, policies, warfighter tactics, procedures, system safety, interoperability and practices. Direct application of Warfighter tactics, techniques, and procedures in a joint and combined environment to include the development, coordination and employment of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) for a major weapon system. Brief senior leaders and decision makers on major weapon systems and/or strategic threats, planning and combatant command issues and equities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Please limit your resume to five pages.
