You will serve as a DRUG FREE PROGRAM COORDINATOR in the HUMAN RESOURCES OFFCE NORTHWEST of COMPACFLT HRO NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will coordinate and administer all phases of the Drug Free Workplace Program (DFWP) for a large Navy industrial activity and provide backup assistance as needed for other COMPACFLT activities. You will identify positions covered by DFWP, coordinating testing of unannounced random, follow-up, voluntary and applicant testing. You will serve as the sole subject matter expert of DFWP cases that go to litigation. You will coordinate with collection contractor for date/time/location of testing to be conducted, randomly selecting employees from testing designated positions (TDP) for testing. You will serve as the point of contact for other DFWP serviced activities, drafting policy/procedures and documents for DFWP. You will recommend changes in procedures or policies taking into account activity funding, resources and impact on employee rights.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Drug Program Coordinator (DPC) certification.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience coordinating a federal civilian employee Drug Free Workplace program (DFWP), (e.g. administering all phases of DFWP, providing analysis for Director/HR, selecting TDP employees for testing, monitoring contractor performance during sample collection process) to ensure compliance of safety and security of the command.
