About the Position: The mission of the CCAD is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. CCAD is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.
Duties
Exercise direct and indirect interactions with government and contractor operations.
Responsible for assigned projects to include studies, reviews, evaluations, and quality assurance of maintenance activities.
Develop, coordinate, and manage a variety of projects, including (but not limited to) maintenance and repair, rehabilitation, and service projects from inception to completion.
Provides assistance relative to appropriate surveillance methods, documentation, interpretation of statistical data, and corrective action.
Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, and vision are communicated to the team and integrated into the goals, objectives, work products and services.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a Tier 3 – Noncritical-Sensitive, Moderate Risk suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually.
- The incumbent must successfully complete a Contracting Officer Representative course.
- The incumbent must pass a pre-appointment physical examination and meet established requirements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing surveillance, coordination, operation, and maintenance of physical facilities, infrastructure, and utilities at the organization; 2) Developing, coordinating, and managing a variety of projects, including maintenance repair, rehabilitation, and service projects from inception to completion; 3) Providing technical guidance and assistance regarding feasibility, cost, time frame, etc., to project personnel; AND 4) Determine equipment, facility, or service deficiencies to identify appropriate resolutions to issues.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
