About the Position: This position is located with the Installation Legal Office at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Duties
Ensure the clerical, administrative and legal administrative work of the Office of Counsel is accomplished in the most effective and efficient manner.
Advise and assist others in conformance with established processes and within regulatory limits.
Search pleadings, briefs and other legal documents on questions relating to general law, administrative law, agency decisions and regulations for use by attorneys.
Utilize automated legal databases to conduct searches for information to be used as evidence or justification for legal opinions.
Maintaining legal research material, including library material, files, guides, manuals, and databases.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of the position require Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) approximately 5% of the duty time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes implementing administrative policies and procedures; advising staff on matters of office legal administration/processes, file management, budget, travel, leave and personnel actions; and coordinating administrative procedural functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
