Duties

This position is located within the Office of Policy, International Affairs, and Environment (APL), Office of National Engagement and Regional Administration (ARA), National Engagement Strategy and Policy Division(ARA-200). The incumbent serves as the manager of the National Engagement Strategy and Policy Division and is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the FAA’s initiatives focused on empowering FAA employees, other federal entities, and industry by providing innovative and practical solutions for community engagement efforts.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • Travel Required: Occasionally (>25%) (Domestic Only)

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS DEFINED AS: Experience applying the agency policies and procedures to meet the unique needs of an aviation community engagement strategy.AND; Experience analyzing issues related to National Airspace System (NAS) procedures and/or policies.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
