You will serve as a Program Manager, F-35 Lightning Support Team (LST) / Fleet Support Team (FST) Lead in the FST Department FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will direct work that has significant impact on national defense as well as on aircraft/commodity and systems maintenance/acquisition to support the Fleet. You will oversee the development of solutions to fleet-reported issues and ensure sound programmatic products and services exist to make informative and comprehensive business decisions. You will provide functional oversight and daily leadership for all personnel assigned while evaluating various levels of employee work performance and provide consultation for approving selections for agency positions. You will manage a large, complex and technical organization to provide total life-cycle support utilizing a wide range of engineering, logistics, and program management related technical disciplines. You will exercise authority to oversee the overall planning and timely execution of programs related to the integration and interface of systems to meet mission needs or operational requirements. You will approve and/or modifying multi-year and long-range organizational resources while monitoring financial data, evaluating budget submissions, and the development of financial reports.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA).
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Directing work that has significant impact on national defense as well as on aircraft/commodity and systems maintenance/acquisition to support the Fleet while possessing thorough knowledge and mastery understanding of the complexity of program management, logistics and industrial operations, and engineering principles; (2) Overseeing the development of solutions to fleet-reported issues and ensuring sound programmatic products and services exist to make informative and comprehensive business decisions; (3) Providing functional oversight and daily leadership for all personnel assigned while evaluating various levels of employee work performance, providing consultation for approving selections for agency positions, and addressing/resolving grievances or serious employee complaints; (4) Managing a large, complex and technical organization to provide total life-cycle support utilizing a wide range of engineering, logistics, and program management related technical disciplines; (5) Exercising authority to oversee the overall planning and timely execution of programs related to the integration and interface of systems to meet mission needs or operational requirements; and (6) Approving and/or modifying multi-year and long-range organizational resources while monitoring financial data, evaluating budget submissions, and coordinating the development of financial reports for local leadership and other DoD agencies.
