About the Position: Serves as a senior Logistics Management/Equipment Readiness Specialist in the HQ Installation Management Command (IMCOM) G-4 Equipment Sustainment & Management Branch (ES&MB) located in Fort Sam Houston, TX.
Duties
Serves as the overall integrator of logistics readiness reporting within IMCOM, G-4 for current and projected assessments.
Reviews, revises, and provides emphasis on Army sustainment management policies.
Prepares a variety of written actions including staff studies, information papers, memorandums, and correspondence related to readiness, sustainment and logistics.
Provides management oversight of maintenance operational budget, tactical maintenance budget, Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO), NMP funding and reimbursable/non reimbursable support agreements.
Integrate and coordinate various logistical functions with Program Executive Officers, Program Managers, and other Equipment Life Cycle Management Command organizations.
Maintains close relationships with Regional and Installation maintenance representatives to ensure actions are synchronized toward accomplishing Army and IMCOM Strategic Imperatives/Goals.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes planning, directing, coordinating, developing, reviewing, and implementing logistic directives, policies, procedures, and programs in support of Installation Field and Sustainment Maintenance operations. Providing advice and guidance to Garrison, Region, Headquarters' Staff, and other supported activities concerning multiple logistical and sustainment programs. Establishing readiness programs to identify critical areas, determining courses of corrective and/or initial action. Developing long-range, intermediate, and short-range plans as mitigation strategies. Experience providing program management and oversight to assure timely support and integration of new or changing logistics concepts and develops methods and techniques required for program execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
