This position serves as a Privacy Analyst in OJP's Office of the General Counsel (OGC), which supports the work of the Senior Component Official for Privacy (SCOP) in maintaining OJP compliance with all applicable federal privacy requirements. The incumbent coordinates with stakeholders to ensure that agency guidance, procedures, and systems comply with federal privacy requirements.

Qualifications
SCREEN OUT FACTOR:Experience drafting, reviewing, and coordinating reviews by multiple stakeholders of various privacy compliance documents for a federal agency, including Initial Privacy Assessments, Privacy Impact Assessments, and System of Records Notices or their equivalents. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Qualifying experience for the GS-12 level includes one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples are:1) Recommending and drafting policies, procedures, and practices to improve, update and meet organization and federal agency privacy program requirements; 2) Providing policy advice, guidance and training concerning managing privacy risk and developing and implementing privacy program plans; 3) Analyzing and assessing privacy and civil liberties risks in information technology (IT) systems and systems of records.TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications as described above will be further evaluated based upon the following technical qualifications:1)Ability to plan and execute work.2)Ability to communicate in writing.3)Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.4)Knowledge of the Privacy Act of 1974, the E-Government Act of 2002, and the Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014. 5)Ability to analyze analyze federal agency privacy compliance program issues, regulations, policies, standards, and requests.
