FEMA Region Four's Appeals Analysts are subject matter experts on the Public Assistance Program who are tasked with issuing first appeal decisions on behalf of the Region Four Administrator. An ideal candidate for this position would be someone with a background in research and policy analysis, and excellent written communication skills.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the IC-12 level (starting salary $87,466), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Researching and interpreting applicable laws, statutes, regulations and policies related to the subject matter of the appeal; Drafting written analysis of findings that communicate facts and determinations for leadership review; Analyzing facts and issues related to the Recovery Division to resolve matters in dispute.
