About the Position: This position is located in Falls Church, VA. This is not a remote position.

Duties
Function as the acquisition strategic manager, in support of the Component Acquisition Executive.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Category Management at the DHA.
Develop, implement, manage, evaluate, and sustain improve the DHA strategy for employing Category Management and strategic sourcing principles, vehicles and tools.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Services Acquisition and related reform at the DHA, in support of the CAE and in collaboration with the PMOs and other requiring activities.
Incumbent leads the planning, development, and oversight of an Acquisition of Services strategy.
Expert in professional services, program management, budgeting, and general acquisition knowledge.
Recommend changes solutions to problems.
Serve as a senior agency liaison in areas related to innovative opportunities impacting DHA and its mission partners.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This is a DOD Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes implementing approaches to resolve issues impacting category management and/or acquisition policies and/or programs; and developing plans to improve category management and/or acquisition programs and/or policies; and overseeing the lifecycle process of services acquisition. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
