You will serve as a IT PROJECT MANAGER (PLCYPLN) in the Marine Corps Installation West G6 (MCIWEST G6) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will evaluate, monitor, or ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures. You will implement regional capability initialization and future capability improvements or life cycle support related to active or planned Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) and Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) managed IT programs. You will integrate information systems subsystems. You will identify standards or requirements for infrastructure configuration or change management. You will review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex system problems. You will evaluate alternative approaches for satisfying network requirements to define, coordinate, plan, and satisfy user requirements for information technology equipment, system or services. You will organize work, setting priorities, and determining resource requirements; determining short-long-term goals and strategies.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector including the following: 1) Planning, managing and evaluating information systems to accomplish work through the use of information technology devices, methods, services, and facilities; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and resoling difficult and complex system problems; 3) identifying, analyzing, designing and managing functional and infrastructure requirements; and 4) Identifying customers information systems requirements and determining appropriate products or services to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
