Duties
You will review and interpret broad guidance from the instructions issued by the AC/S, G-6 that impact upon communications and information systems mission accomplishment.
You will be responsible for the execution of the AC/S, G-6's instructions pertaining to support of the Base, Tenant, and Supported Command Telecommunications missions in the Western United States to the Far East.
You will serve as advisor and consultant to the AC/S, G-6 on all matters related to communication support.
You will exercise cognizance over all aspects of communications and information systems.
You will also monitor the progress, accuracy and timely submission of all Marine Corps Action Tracking System taskers received from higher headquarters, specifically, Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) .
You will be responsible for the preparation and execution of the annual G-6 budget.
You will identify programs and obtains centrally managed funds in support of communications and information systems operations and improvement programs for the installation.
You will approve allocation and distribution of funds with the approval of the AC/S, G-6 staff section.
You will provide broad policy recommendations for all personnel actions required to support the G6 Department.

- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience, knowledge, and skilled in managing communications and information systems, developing and implementing a budget, managing personnel including but not limited to hiring, placement, and workforce organizational improvement actions and activities in response to emerging technology implementations.
