You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
You will formulate budget and estimations to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations.
You will research, analyze, and interpret data in a variety of financial/supply databases to make recommendations and/or perform corrective actions.
You will interpret and apply financial regulations and local policies, and practices to function effectively in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Systems Applications and Products (SAP).
You will provide advice and guidance to assist personnel on procedures and/or processes related to financial/supply program management and business requirements.
You will set priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse affect on regular and recurring work.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Advising staff on application of concepts, principles, laws, and regulations to budgeting, finance, funding, and/or regulatory requirements; 2) Performing research, analysis, and interpretation of regulations governing the issuance of funding documents; 3) Effectively and efficiently assisting in leading, supervising, motivating, and/or counseling financial employees on principles, practices, procedures, and regulations in a financial capacity; 4) Utilizing automated systems and programs to review and analyze budgetary and financial data for accuracy and completeness; 5) Monitoring execution data against established budgets to ensure liabilities do not exceed funding.
