This position is located in the Office of the Director, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Information Technology Directorate (ITD), Infrastructure and Operations Support Division (IOSD). The mission of the division is to enable, process, secure and monitor the operation system and storage necessary to ensure the continuous processing of the platform, software and services required to carry out the mission of the United States Mint.

Duties

As an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (CAB CHANGE COORDINATOR), you will: Be responsible for coordinating and supporting the Change Advisory Board (CAB) Management goal to enable beneficial changes to be made with minimum disruption to business operations, ensuring that the best possible levels of service quality and availability are maintained. Plan, develop, maintain and manage the Change Management Database (CMDB), and provide status updates to requesters. Review change plans and schedules. Plan activities to include scheduling change requests, assessing risk and impact, creating plans, defining, and sequencing tasks needed to accomplish change requests, and scheduling people and resources for each task. Be responsible for coordinating and tracking change management deliverables including change impact assessment, organizational readiness analysis, resistance management, and change reinforcement. Coordinate and supports training, consultation and technical support in addition to continuing studies to test, adjust or improve existing Change Management initiatives for ITD and the United States Mint, which frequently represent significant technical advances, and which may serve as prototypes for installations outside of the United States Mint.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Experience in providing change management coordination and support, to enable beneficial changes to be made within an Information Technology (IT) environment; AND - Monitoring, and assisting with changes to IT business processes and systems, technology job roles and structures; AND - Being a skilled liaison to support communication and objectives, information, and outcomes to internal and external customers and stakeholders. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
