You will serve as an OPERATIONS SUPPORT CENTER in the ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT (N1) of COMMANDER LITTORAL COMBAT SQUADRON TWO.
Duties
You will prepare requests for manpower revisions or other changes in the billet structure as required and assist in the resolution of manpower issues affecting billets and personnel assignments.
You will keep abreast of changes in the Reserve policy and programs and pass on this information to their commands.
You will ensure missions and requirements are built into the Navy Reserve Order Writing System (NROWS) before both the start of a new fiscal year and prior to mid-year review and submits the requirements via the specialist’s chain of command.
You will prepare and assist in the preparation of briefs.
You will review process for individual unit readiness to ensure units are manned to meet mission, overseeing the identification of manning shortfalls and assignment of trained personnel.
You will develop and implement ways to eliminate or reduce bottlenecks.
You will provide sound advice to leadership to ensure compliance with Surface Force manning directives, policies, and procedures.
You will make decisions on technical problems presented by staff and directs, coordinates, and oversees work through them and identifies training needs.
Requirements

- Occasional travel as much as 10% of the time, is required to attend meetings and conferences. Travel may be by commercial (air, rail, POV, etc.) or government-operated (military aircraft, vessels or vehicle) or government-chartered carriers.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with Administration Office Management.
Experience with Reserve Operations.
Experience evaluating and developing recommendations and solutions involving missions, manpower, force management, and related operational problems.
Experience identifying problems in organization structures and provide guidance on feasible alternatives to management.
Experience planning and conducting reviews, and assessments of personnel.
Experience preparing request for manpower revisions or other changes to assist in the resolution of manpower issues.
Experience Correspondence Management and written communications which includes the ability to prepare in-depth written reports.
Experience using Microsoft Office software Excel, Word, and PowerPoint in order to deliver presentations to appropriate formalities, the Commander, and other equivalent senior managers.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Possession of an LL.M. that is related to position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
