This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, in the Applications Project Management Division. As an IT Project Manager, you will manage an information technology project and be the senior IT specialist responsible for the development, modification, or enhancement of specific IT products, services, or systems, constrained by relationships among scope, resources, and time.
Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
As an IT Project Manager, you will:
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
This position requires Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training or certification. (Proof of certification will be required if selected.)
AND
This position requires the Senior-level certification of the Federal Acquisition Institutes Federal Acquisition Certification Program and Project Managers (FAC-PPM) per BEP Policy. Therefore, you must be obtain or maintain a FAC-PPM Senior Level-IT Core Plus Certification within 36 months of employment.
AND
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes experience:
Providing IT technical recommendations in order for senior executives, management, and external subject matter experts to make informed decisions; AND
Leading an information technology (IT) project with members of teams from multiple organizations; AND
Partnering with customers to recommend enhancements or technical business solutions to improve operation efficiencies to existing IT processes; AND
Collaborating with contractors or vendors to deliver IT products and services to customers.
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes experience:
Leading an information technology (IT) project with members of teams from multiple organizations; AND
Partnering with customers to recommend enhancements or technical business solutions to improve operation efficiencies to existing IT processes; AND
Collaborating with contractors or vendors to deliver IT products and services to customers.
For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes experience:
Managing information technology (IT) projects; AND
Partnering with customers to recommend enhancements or technical business solutions to improve operation efficiencies to existing IT processes; AND
Collaborating with contractors or vendors to deliver IT products and services to customers.
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
