About the Position: Position monitors authorizations, distribution, strengths, professional development and assignments worldwide in view of MACOM, installations, separate BCTs, units above separate brigades, and for Army needs. Position is in Human Resources Command (HRC), Officer Personnel Management Directorate (OPMD), at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Ensure that all procedural and administrative tasks are performed for the timely and correct completion of actions, individually, or by other staff members.
Monitor authorizations, distribution, strengths, professional development, and assignments for officers and/or warrant officers. Review distribution plan to ensure compliance.
Review weekly assignment requirements to ensure proper distribution of personnel by tracking all open and closed requisitions.
Utilize personnel management systems such as TOPMIS, SMS, ATRRS, iPERMS, or other related Human Resource programs.
Prepare statistical data to form management level briefings which details policies and procedures.

Experience Required:
To qualify based on your work experience, the resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience performing clerical and technical work supporting one or more military personnel programs, operations, or functions, specifically the assignment and professional development of officers.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-07).
Position may be filled as a TEMPORARY Promotion NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee.
TEMPORARY Promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
Position may be filled as a TEMPORARY Appointment NTE 1 year if the candidate is not a current permanent Army employee.
TEMPORARY Appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience to qualify. For this position at the GS-09 grade level you must possess:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
