This position is in the Office of Integrated Veteran Care (IVC), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The primary function of these positions is to provide care coordination support on behalf of beneficiaries enrolled in the Spina Bifida, Children of Women Vietnam Veterans (CWVV), and Camp Lejeune Family Member Programs. Works with health care providers and other authorized third-party contacts to answer a variety of program questions.

Work Schedule: 6:00 am-4:30 pm Compressed/Flexible: Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/15/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. For a GS-11position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-9. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: GS-9 Specialized Experience: Establishes criteria to measure attainment of program goals and objectives. Positions with this level of knowledge require skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues. Investigates and analyzes a wide variety of problems and recommending appropriate solutions, including originating new and improved applications. Plans, coordinates, and carries out the successive steps in fact-finding and analysis of issues necessary to complete each phase of assigned projects. Applies extensive knowledge and skills in hospital administration principles, theories, and practices to inquiries and studies where the boundaries are broad and difficult. GS-11 Specialized Experience: Manages and coordinates of all online communication tools such as assigned intranet websites, internal SharePoint website collection, and other related informational tools in consultation with communication specialists. Knowledge of the basic principles and practices related to the management of a health care delivery system. Experience may have been gained as an administrative officer, management analyst, or administrative or clinical program manager. Prepares and/or manages the preparation of materials that convey complex, technical VFMP program information to diverse audiences with varying levels of understanding and interests. Ability to independently investigate complex issues, analyze problems, and present both written and oral recommendations taking into full consideration the wide range of factors and requirements. Knowledge of the capabilities, operating characteristics, and advanced functions of a variety of software (word-processing, spreadsheets, slide presentation, email). Must be able to create presentations, spreadsheets, and reports for management. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position: Administration and ManagementAnalytical ReasoningCommunicationsProject Management Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary with occasional requirements to walk around in an office building to meet with employees. Most work requirements involve using a computer and standard office automation equipment. The incumbent may need to stoop, bend, reach, or occasionally carry loads weighing up to 20 pounds. Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR): An IOR is a basic requirement that must be met in order to qualify for entry into this job series, and it is something that can't be waived. The education must be accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
To qualify for the GS 0671 occupational series, applicants MUST possess one of the following: Undergraduate and graduate education: Major study -- hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.
