You will serve as the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and Knowledge Manager (KM) identifying and recommending Marine Corps Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) data that should be archived, exposed and discoverable across the MCISR Enterprise. This position is located in Quantico, VA in the HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will collaborate with Marine Corps Operating Forces, acquisition program managers and intelligence requirements developers to ensure the integration of Marine Corps Intelligence KM efforts using complimentary data and information management. You will direct, control, and coordinate activities of contract staff for the integration of MCISR-E web-based user interface capabilities for data discovery and data exposure. You will identify required Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) data standards and provides guidance to the Intelligence Chief Information (CIO) and division staff to meet them.

Requirements

• This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
• This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in specialty area [43] and incumbents of the position are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2.

Qualifications

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. -AND- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Planning and coordinating information management requirements related to processes involving critical data across the Marine Corps Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Enterprise (MCISR-E); 2) Identifying required Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) data standards and providing guidance to the Intelligence Chief Information (CIO) and division staff to meet them; 3) Recommending and coordinating processes for data collection, archiving and exposure through web-based services to determine acceptable courses of action; 4) Maintaining contact with knowledge management, information management and data management experts in the IC and DoD, and representing Marine Corps Intelligence at community boards and meetings as directed.
