Duties

You will evaluate and develop directives to implement high-level policy changes that impact significant cybersecurity programs or projects. You will interpret and apply applicable laws, statutes, and regulatory documents and integrates into policy. You will design/integrate a cyber strategy that outlines the vision, mission, and goals that align with the organization's strategic plan. You will establish and maintain communication channels with stakeholders. You will review, conduct, or participate in audits of long-range cyber programs and projects involving a wide range of cybersecurity systems and issues. You will prepare audit reports that identify technical and procedural findings, and provide recommended remediation strategies/solutions. You will analyze cyber defense policies and configurations and evaluate compliance with government-wide policy directives, regulations, and Executive Orders governing security audits and security assessment reviews.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 461,541,752 level I - Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, interpreting, or analyzing policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services; and applying or recommending new developments to previously unsolvable problems that significantly influence important IT policies or programs.
