You will serve as a F-16 Logistics management specialist for PMA-226 of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will conduct detailed analysis of the various logistics elements as it relates to organizational, intermediate and depot level operating environments.
You will utilize knowledge of the systems which comprise an aeronautical weapon and its ancillary equipment and identify problem systems or components and recommend appropriate changes or improvements.
You will serve as a technical point of contact for the fleet, other US government agencies/services, and contractors for in¬-service logistics issues pertaining to the platform specific systems.
You will determine logistics support resources for maintenance planning, technical data, training, facilities, computer resources, or packaging requirements.
You will deal extensively with systems engineering/design interface, logistics support, and support system requirements for aviation equipment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field L-Life Cycle Logistics Level 1. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as; 1) Ensure the safety and readiness of assigned aircraft systems, while reducing total cost of ownership to the Navy. 2) Develop, review, evaluate and/ or provides supportability inputs to program technical and mission documentation including Operational Requirement Documents, Advanced Procurement Plan, Mission Needs statement, Decision Coordinating Paper, and Master Plan. 3) Conducts and/ or evaluates mission area analysis and assessment to develop Integrated Product Support (IPS) concepts and constrains. 4) Prepare/ provide status reports for assigned functions/ tasks as required. 5) Identifies fleet logistics problems and issues and develop solutions/ resolutions, identifies tasks/ actions required, and monitor/ track implementation. 6) Perform various cost estimating and analysis processes in support of trade-off analysis sensitivity analysis, ARI developments, LRFS development, and LECP/ECP/OSIP development.
