Duties
The position is located in the Administrative and Logistics Branch (CMA); Acquisition and Administrative Management Division (CM); Human Capital and Resource Management Directorate (HCRM): Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).
Performs the duties of the Defense Contract Audit Agency Headquarters Mail clerk and acts as liaison with the Defense Logistics Agency. Conducts distribution and courier services within the National Capital Region.
Serves as the backup Property Custodian. Coordinates with the appropriate Inventory Management Specialist for asset ID, transfer of assets to another property custodial account, turn-in and disposal of equipment.
Serves as alternate Motor Vehicle Operator; maintains a valid driver's license and exceptional driving record.
Serves as the Headquarters' Supply Clerk for ordering and maintaining essential office supplies and ensures each Directorate is supplied with adequate paper for agency mission.
Serves as the backup Property Custodian. Coordinates with the appropriate Inventory Management Specialist for asset ID, transfer of assets to another property custodial account, turn-in and disposal of equipment.

- Drug Testing: This is a drug testing designated position. You must pass a drug test before your assignment to this position and you will be subject to random drug testing subsequent to your assignment.
- Pay for first time hires to the Federal Government will typically be set at step 1 salary range for their respective grade level.
- Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination.
Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
For the GS-6 level: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-5 or equivalent level. Specialized experience is experience in mailroom operation (Stamps.com, Pitney Bowes, etc.) and experience in property accountability and ordering supplies, motor vehicle operator or administrative support.
Substitution of Education for Experience for the GS-06 level: Six months of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement.
For the GS-7 level: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-6 or equivalent level. Specialized experience is experience in mailroom operation (Stamps.com, Pitney Bowes, etc.) and experience in one or more of the following areas: administrative support experience, property custodian duties, supply clerk and/or motor vehicle operator.
Substitution of Education for Experience for the GS-07 level: One full year of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement.
Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. Examples of qualifying degrees would be in public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled. If you are using education to substitute for the specialized experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply.
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (http://www2.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/index.html).
