About the Position: This Deputy Program Manager GS-0340-14 position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division, Fort Worth District, Engineering and Construction Support Office located in Fort Worth, TX.

Duties

Implement of all safety rules, regulations, and directives applicable to work supervised. Provide input to the operating budget to ensure program resources are being utilized accordingly. Ensure each comprehensive management plan adheres to the assigned project's federal agency's requirements. Participate in programming decisions affecting long- and short-range courses of action for assigned program. National account manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent may be subject to a one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel is required up to 25% of the time.
  • Must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-NOV-11.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Developing comprehensive management plans integrating technical functions such as planning, design, construction, real estate, and contracting in support of assigned military or civil programs technical functions.; AND 2) Applying federal program management processes to plan, design, construct, execute, monitor, and control engineering scopes of work for a military or civil works project.; AND 3) Consulting high-ranking military, civilian, federal, and state agency customers, and stakeholders on military or civil programs objectives, timelines, and conflicts. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsFinancial ManagementLeadershipProgram Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
