Duties
You will plan daily and weekly work schedules and sequences of operations for subordinates.
You will assign, directs and coordinates work commitments, determines and revises work priorities and schedules work accordingly.
You will promote all special programs such as the elimination of fraud, waste and abuse in Government to ensure maximum productivity
for fund spent.
You will express ideas clearly, politely, effectively, and tactfully, and the ability to promote a harmonious relationship between members of the Section, Public Works personnel, tenant commands, and contractor representatives.
You will manage manpower, material, and equipment and accomplish the mission of the Division with maximum efficiency and economy.
You will plan, organize, and coordinate work in situations where numerous diverse demands are involved.
You will read and interpret and provide guidance on complex written material and specifications
You will exercise judgment in researching, choosing, interpreting, modifying, and applying guidelines for adaptation to specific problems or issues.
Requirements

- Must possess a valid driver’s license and at least a Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Must maintain appropriate North Carolina State landfill operator’s certification.
- You will be required to take and successfully complete a NC sanctioned Manager of Landfill Operations, Manager of Recycling Operations, and Manager of Construction and Demolition of Operations Class within six months of accepting this position.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and future planning of the sanitary landfill & recycling program by interpretation, implementation and oversight of solid waste management guidelines; monitor the preventative maintenance program of landfill heavy equipment and recycling compaction equipment; cross-training employees in difference aspects of landfill/recycling procedures and operations; manage all methane gas monitoring, collection and testing, ground water monitoring well sampling, daily cover requirements: and brief a diverse audience in meetings and/or conferences.
