You will serve as a PROJECT COORDINATOR (TEST MESUREMENT AND DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT/ SYSTEMS) in the MAIRNE DEPOT MAINTENANCE COMMAND of MAINTENANCE CENTER ALBANY.

Duties

You will function as a Project Coordinator with the overall responsibility of the management, technical direction, schedules, and accountability of assigned Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment/Systems (TMDE/S) projects. You will function as Subject matter Expert and maintenance support specialist in the field of TMDE/S. You will assist in the development of technical documentation in support of maintenance and supply instructions. You will exercise flexibility, adaptability, and decisiveness as appropriate to guide and integrate functional efforts of individuals or teams in support of customer interaction.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license. Work may involve operating a motor vehicle.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting and applying principles, concepts and methodology associated with life cycle management of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment/Systems (TMDE/S) projects to plan and execute complex multi-faceted projects; 2) Researching and interpreting objectives, overall design, and operating characteristics of TMDE/S related hardware and software to provide provisioning guidance and support of TMED/S projects; and 3) Analyzing failure rates, various testing scenarios cost effectiveness versus projected repair return ratios, supply, and logistics elements in order to support an economical and technical analysis for Weapon System maintenance as it relates to automatic testing. .
