You will serve as an OPERATIONS AND TRAINING DIVISION DIRECTOR in the Office of the Director of Operations & Training Division ofMCLB ALBANY GA.
Duties
You will perform supervisor duties such as: assigning and reviewing work; developing performance standards; rewarding, promoting, and disciplining; approving leave; hearing grievances; identifying training requirements; and supporting EEO policies.
You will serve as the senior civilian resident expert to Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany on all matters pertaining to Mission Assurance issues.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
You will manage the Command special events, community relations program and all operational aspects with the functioning of the base.
You will oversee, assist, and advise in preparation of historical reports.
You will develop, prepare, and supervise the execution of training programs, directives, orders, professional military education and/or training exercises, when required.
You will identify and implement workforce development solutions which ensure Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany has a career oriented, will-skilled workforce and employees have the tools which encourage them to succeed in the workplace.
You will assist in managing the command's public affairs program by providing information about the Marine Corps to the public, the media, and the internal Marine Corps audience and establish relations with local communities and the general public.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You may required to be recalled to duty.
- This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, directing installation operational plans, goals, & objectives AND developing policies, process, and procedures pertaining to operations.
