You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TARGET OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will work with members from all uniformed services, DOD civilians and coalition partners to develop solutions and recommendations.
You will direct, motivate, coordinate and integrate the work of others; to keep initiatives focused; to assess the effectiveness of efforts and programs; and to adjust programs and priorities accordingly.
You will describe situations, problems, analyses and conclusions in a clear and succinct manner to general/flag officers, senior staff, and international partners.
You will be assessing, organizing, and leading others in comprehensive studies or projects and preparing accurate, technically sound recommendations.
You will contribute to the development of a Joint Fires Network (JFN) to expedite future fires, bridging sensors to shooters through a federated common data layer.
You will be working command and control issues as a member of joint, major, and combined staffs.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes:
1. Applying knowledge of Joint Fires Targeting policies, processes and procedures along with demonstrated experience in Joint Targeting Cycle planning, execution, and assessment.
2. Negotiating effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations for command positions on extremely sensitive, highly classified and vitally important capabilities.
3. Utlizing experience with Joint Campaign, Contingency, and Crisis Action execution and procedures and ability to develop and assess new policies, processes and procedures.
4. Communicating building information, non-kinetic, and cyber operation assessment frameworks.
5. Understanding military command structure, military staff organization, and operations at a Combatant Command or equivalent strategic-level organization.
6. Comprehending roles, relationships, authorities, major objectives, functions and processes of subordinate organizations within the USINDOPACOM chain of command.
