Duties
Researches, analyzes, and resolves daily systems problems related to database management and report processing cycles.
Provides technical advice in determining the extent of database problems, potential solutions, and required action for resolution.
Develops work year projections, reviews work year execution and productivity initiative in assigned areas.
Develops complex and intricate analytic studies using scientific methods to provide management with analyses of problems for which decisions must be made under conditions of uncertainty.
Works with teams of financial management analysts and accountants in establishing requirements for, and in the development and implementation of, changes/revisions to databases to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements
Reviews financial execution reports for accuracy and advises team members on corrections needed.

Qualifications
GS-12
Specialized Experience is defined as: Conducting financial reviews and completing projects that provide advisory services to management officials regarding complex programs; Providing financial advisory services for a major segment of a business line/product line budget; and analyzing and evaluating financial management accounting systems.
GS13
Specialized Experience is defined as: providing detailed analysis of budget, program requirements, billing and revenue, cost analysis, agreements, cash management, or business operations, or workforce management; conducting operational reviews of resource management; analyzing and evaluating reports from multiple financial systems; and making and implementing recommendations to improve reporting requirements.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-12, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher in the Federal service. To be considered for the GS-13, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher in the Federal service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
