You will serve as a CURRENT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR in the Operations Division of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will responsible for assisting the Director, Operations Division in all functions that pertain to the AC/S, G 3/5. You will prepare and manage a fiscal budget for the Current Operations Branch, Operations Division. You will assign special projects in accordance with G-3/5 guidance. You will review operational plans for completeness and compliance within established parameters. You will assume the duties as Crisis Action Team Officer in Charge for Command Center Crisis Action Team activations. You will work as principle advisor to the Director, Operation Division and AC/S, G-3/5 on Base and Regional Current Operations matters.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing various supervisory duties; providing recommendations on operational requirements; assisting in coordinating support for mission assurance and force protection of personnel; interpreting policy statements, directives, procedures, and individual instructions; and advising on the resolution of issues involving operations, training procedures, policies, personnel, equipment, and budgetary requirements.
