This position is located at Crownpoint Service Unit, Office of Environmental Health & Engineering, Crownpoint, New Mexico. The purpose of this position is to provide clerical and other Administrative functions for the Office of Environmental Health & Engineering, Division of Sanitation Facilities Construction.
Duties
Receives visitors and incoming calls; ascertains nature of business and determines appropriate course of action utilizing knowledge of organization, programs, operations and procedures.
Responsible for coordination of timekeeping activities, ensuring ITAS is transmitted on a timely basis.
Maintains control records of incoming correspondence and action documents to enable follow-up status and/or progress to insure timely action in accordance with established requirements and deadlines.
Prepares trip and expenses report in accordance with established procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
GS-5: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least a GS-04 OR successfully completed four (4) years of education above the high school level in any field. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One (1) year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours or classroom instructions per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.
One (1) year of specialized experience related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-04 level in the Federal Service that includes: performing a variety of clerical/administrative support duties; this experience would include such things as planning and carrying out the work of the office; knowledge to carry out and coordinate, in a timely and effective manner; procedures or operations applied to clerical.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
