Duties
Provides operation support entailing daily review and resolutions of issues and problems.
Resolves data and file processing issues, interpretation of database and system error messages or data related issues.
Coordinates and schedules system down times with customers and end users.
Develops and maintains training manuals and instructions and provides individual and group training when requested to ensure customer familiarity with accessing and retrieving necessary data from systems.
Prepares reports that identify metrics on call volume, call types, and common problems, along with suggestions for corrective actions. Performs trend analysis to identify problems which occur most frequently.

- Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

- Please note, this is NOT a 100% virtual/remote position where work may be performed from any location in the US. This position is eligible for local telework near the duty station of the position, subject to management review and approval.
Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience identifying and resolving system problems; applying a wide range of methods to assist in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating operating system issues required to determine and provide effective and timely resolutions to systems users. Experience with budgeting policies, regulations, procedures, and administrative financial management systems; planning, scheduling and conducting studies, reviews and recommending improvements.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
