You will serve as a Security Officer in the Corporate Operations Department of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, Washington (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA). You will utilize DoD and Navy security programs such as Operations Security, Physical Security, Information Security, Industrial Security, and Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA&E) protection and their application to NUWC mission.
Duties
You will utilize unique systems such as torpedoes, targets, mines, countermeasures, combat systems, unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV), research and development vehicles, as well as the exploitation of foreign technologies.
You will provide risk mitigation techniques, protocols, and procedures.
You will communicate with civilian and military personnel, contractors, Congressional representatives and the general public.
You will be required to work effectively with all levels of Command, Headquarters, and regulatory personnel.
You will supervise personnel, plan, organize and lead teams of personnel with varying disciplines and grade levels.
You will set performance standards and evaluate employee performance, counsel employees, delegate work, manage staff workload and deadlines, ensure safe work practices, and implement Policy.
You will maintain coordination and liaison with the host command, Naval Base Kitsap (NBK), and Naval Criminal Investigative Services (NCIS).

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing and providing oversight of security programs (e.g., operational, information, physical, personnel) to ensure organization requirements are met.
