You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Intelligence Operations Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Keyport WA.

Duties

You will function as the Division representative and lead for all Special Access Programs (SAP) security matters for multiple facilities and a diverse customer base. You will provide support to the Special Compartmented Information (SCI) effort managed by the Special Security Office (SSO) and ensure the Division remains in compliance with strict SAP and Intelligence Community (IC) policies. You will keep Division leadership aware of any changing policy/guidance that will affect our SAP security program and all compliance issues discovered. You will lead the SAP team for the Advanced Programs Support Office (APSO) providing daily oversight to the priorities, taskings, and assist the Command Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) with the overall management of the SAP efforts. You will be responsible for operating in accordance with National Authorities, to include, but not limited to: DNI, IC, DoD, NISPOM, OPNAV, DON SAPCO, and NAVSEA Directives, PHO Policy, practices of security organizations. You will develop professionally by seeking opportunities for training, development, and certification outside of the current position's security discipline. You will maintain eligibility to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Programs, as required.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administering or coordinating security programs to ensure Special Access Program (SAP) information is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, and safeguarded.
