This position in in the office of the Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Development, which provides oversight and support for the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System Medical Research program, located in Cleveland, OH.
Duties

Duties include but may not be limited to:
Researches and applies detailed and disparate regulations, policies and procedures.
Uses judgement and discretion in identifying deficiencies and requesting additional information from the research team.
Performs analytical and evaluative work associated with IRB activities.
Records notifications, expedited approvals, adverse events, serious adverse events and reviews researcher responses.
Prepares and provides educational opportunities for investigators and research staff involved in human subject research.
Work Schedule: Full-time,Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Telework will be discussed at time of interview
Qualifications
To apply for this position, you must have the following qualifications:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in Federal Service that includes performing the following duties: Retrieve information as needed from hard copy and electronic files.; Act as liaison between IRB (Institutional Review Board) reviewers and research investigators.; Create and disperse various correspondence that directs and outlines the scope of research study protocol and all other matters pertinent to the purview of the IRB.; Use web based committee management program to manage IRB submissions.; Communicate submission deficiencies to researcher teams and guide and direct them on corrections needed.
