Duties
Provides support to all internal and external customers for Installation Medical Supply Activity.
Conducts and compiles studies and investigations to forecast, coordinate, and implement responses to urgent needs.
Responsible for approving contract requests.
Manages Government Purchase Card transactions used for supply purchases.
Utilizing various supply databases extensively for research.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 25 pounds is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supporting a supply system; maintaining inventory accountability; forecasting and predicting supply requirements; and managing purchase card transactions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management or Logistics..

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
