About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Duties
Plan, coordinate, and direct annual and day-to-day operations involving all aspects of linen distribution throughout the Hospital complex and the branch medical clinics, including linen distribution functions, inventory, and inspections.
Determine manpower, supply and equipment needs of subordinates.
Determines work priorities; and revises work guides and schedules as necessary.
Develop work guides and schedules to utilize work forces effectively.
Make periodic checks and review of work accomplishments to evaluate quality and quantity and effectiveness in meeting requirements.
Inspect all equipment in use to ensure that it is safe, operational condition at all times.
Review pre-bid contract specifications for compatibility with administration of quality assurance methods and procedures.
Analyze contractor performance based on surveillance schedules and prepares written summary of performance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing full range duties of linen control and distribution procedures in a hospital or clinic or reviewing service contracts for a linen operation.
