You will serve as a Logisitics Management Specialist in the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Department of Navy of NAWCTSD ORLANDO. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Duties

You will prepare, monitor, review, and defend the total Supply Support budget for training system spares, tools and test equipment. You will develop cost and lead time estimates for Supply Support packages and initial material support items for Navy training systems. You will assess training system program documentation and equipment design for integrated logistics support considerations. You will take the lead or participate in the writing, editing, and revision of internal specifications, directives, and standard operating procedures for the team, Division and Command. You will perform technical evaluation of contractor proposals to determine acceptability of the approach and fair and reasonableness of the proposed efforts.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive contracting processes, including new contract actions, contract modifications, and the efficiency and effectiveness of program support operations; 2) Performing a wide variety of analytical studies and projects related to training system operations; 3) Evaluating technical proposals addressing cost effective maintainability, reliability and supportability requirements in order to meet engineering and logistics specifications; and 4) Developing new or modified work methods, records and files, management processes, guidelines and procedures, and automating work processes for the conduct of administrative support functions or program operations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
