The primary purpose of this position is to to plan, direct, coordinate, evaluate and execute assigned program(s) activities to ensure readiness and mission capability of the organization. Serves as program manager and technical advisor to staff and senior leadership for assigned programs.
Duties
Manages a wide range of programs, projects and studies in support of program goals and objectives, work
processes and production support operations of the Group.
Participates in special studies and projects r elated to assigned programs.
Attends meetings, conferences and briefings.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: You must one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 (or higher) grade level or equivalent (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or public sector). Specialized experience includes using the knowledge providing administrative support on programs that enable the command to meet all Quality Assurance, audit, and compliance requirements on matters of safety, production support metrics, and records management. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of overall mission, function, operation and organization; and a variety of principles and processes
applicable to the work operations of the group and impact of group's activities across the complex .
2. Knowledge of analytical, evaluative and planning processes, techniques and methods as applied to issues or studies involving administrative or support functions.
3. Knowledge of program inspection requirements, reports, and terms, as well as knowledge of common
management principles to provide advisory services and inspect assigned programs.
4. Knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies and precedents applicable to group programs and related support
resources or equivalent.
5. Ability to prepare special studies and reports, including the ability to meet changing program requirements within
available resources and with minimum sacrifice of quality or quantity of work.
6. Ability to establish effective working relationships and to communicate well with others, orally and in writing,
including preparing and conducting formal and informal briefings or correspondence.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
IF USING EDUCATION TO QUALIFY: You MUST provide transcripts to support your educational claims. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
