About the Position: This Program Manager (Engineering & Sciences) GS-0340-14 position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division, Fort Worth District, Engineering and Construction Support Office located in Fort Worth, TX.

Duties

Coordinate the scheduling of technical design, construction, and contracting procedures in order to manage the program of primarily infrastructure assessments. Ensure each comprehensive management plan adheres to the assigned project's federal agency's requirements. Implement corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of projects, and intermediate products In support of projects. Participate in programming decisions affecting long- and short-range courses of action for assigned program. Responsible for a quarterly program and project execution review with the customers' executive staff. Performs administrative and management functions incidental to the work of the Engineering and Construction Support Office.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel is required up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Integrating at least 3 or more of the necessary technical functions such as planning, environmental, design, cost engineering, construction, real estate, and contracting, in support of assigned military or civil programs into a comprehensive management plan. AND 2) Performing multiple supervisory or leader duties such as interviewing, monitoring/assigning employee work, performance evaluation for a Civil Works or Military Program complied of a team of multi-disciplined project managers. AND 3) Collaborating with high-ranking military, civilian, federal, and state agencies to make management plan decisions that affect the completion of assigned military and civil works projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
