You will serve as a SECURITY OFFICER (SSO) in the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center of NAVAVNWARDEVCEN.

Duties

You will be responsible for the overall direction, execution, coordination and program management of the organization's security program. You will be responsible for the direct training and oversight of, all fleet naval aviation training syllabi and various other training curricula. You will provide analysis and recommendations for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs. You will plan, schedule, coordinate, and analyze the effectiveness of assigned SCI classified security operations and activities. You will coordinate with command security management to provide flexible support to meet customer needs and provide conflict resolution. You will review design plans and specifications with project design engineers to ensure full compliance with security requirements.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph examination.
• You will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement, OF-312.
• The likelihood of being recalled after normal working hours does exist.
• You will be required to climb ladders, stairs, and hills in the performance of duties that will require hands-on inspections.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing security management, training, or administrative expertise for the implementation, monitoring, or evaluation of security programs or operations.
