You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the BMD Test and Evaluation Branch (Code C42) of the Test and Evaluation Management Division (Code C40) of the Combat Systems Test and Evaluation Department (Code 00) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, Port Hueneme Division (San Diego, Port Hueneme, Norfolk, or Mayport Detachments).

Duties
You will serve as Project Officer directing other technical personnel, including contractors, in support of AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense, Integrated Air and Missile Defense, or other AEGIS Test and Evaluation events,
You will lead test projects aboard Navy ships testing combat systems, weapon systems, and missiles as the single point of contact for all shipboard activities,
You will define, plan, and execute critical projects which are complex and involve multiple disciplines and organizations both internal and off station,
You will provide expert consultant system services and technical assistance related to In-Service Engineering (ISE), operations, testing, evaluation, maintenance, and repair of the AEGIS Combat System (ACS),
You will formulate the overall objectives and details requirements, provide project planning, and monitor progress, participating in all planning meetings,
You will provide engineering services to support development of test event scenarios, execution plans, and test plans,
You will identify, schedule, and coordinate all air, lndo and Exo atmospheric requirements as required for the associated test events,
You will apply project and budget management principles to technical and programmatic elements to meet overall NSWC PHD and sponsor objectives,
You will serve as a technical expert for ISE issues related to the ACS, particularly related to overall evaluation of the associated test event,
You will perform analysis and investigate issues discovered during testing and operations, participating in resolution of combat system problems,
You will present Test and Evaluation plans and results (Objectives, issues, resolution, recommendations, and test strategy) to internal and external stakeholders, and other test and evaluation organizations.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing shipboard technical or managerial oversight of In-Service Engineering (ISE), operations, testing, evaluation, maintenance, or repair of the AEGIS Combat System (ACS).
