You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Surface Weapons & Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Division, Sensors Weapons & Launchers Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA or Virginia Beach, VA.
Duties
You will serve as a Ship Installation Team Lead, and, along with the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Manager.
You will be responsible for strategic logistics as well as organizing, managing, directing, controlling, and integrating system installations for the CEC program.
You will ensure that the system installation products, services and resources are developed, planned, produced, logistically supported, and delivered to support installation schedules and logistical requirements.
You will ensure coordination and execution of system improvements and upgrades in U.S. Navy Surface Ships is accomplished for maximum Combat System effectiveness.
You interface directly with Navy communities, such as: PEO SHIPS, System Commands, Test Teams, shipyards, Navy board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV), the Fleet, In-service engineering Agents (ISEA), Configuration and Logistics Managers, etc.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS 11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing or leading combat system installation projects aboard Surface Ships in compliance with modernization procedures.
