This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Hosting & Compute Center (HaCC).
Duties
Serves as a senior Information Technology Specialist (APPSW/INFOSEC) specialized as a CYBER Technical Support Specialist providing technical support to customers who need assistance utilizing client level hardware and software.
Performs as a System Administrator, who installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains hardware, software, and administers system accounts.
Determines whether or not existing systems can be used or modified and prepares programming specifications for implementation by other computer programmers.
Develops testing and implementation plans and independently establishes test criteria and data to ensure all program modules and outputs are tested for completeness and accuracy.
Evaluates test results and initiates corrective actions, develops and executes procedures to periodically monitor the logical/physical integrity of data and conceives of solutions to highly complex technical problems.
Requirements

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This is a Mission Essential position.
- Employee is subject to recall or call back during off-shift hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management.
- Shift work required. Shift hours will be: 2nd shift (1600 - 0000) and 3rd shift (0000 - 0800)
- This is an Information Security Information Assurance (IA) position.
- Top Secret clearance is required.
- This is a drug test-designated position.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as experience managing ticketing systems and incident documentation for accuracy, maintaining account and access control for internal and external customers and troubleshooting and resolving customer issues with rapidly changing business requirements and for rapidly evolving technology.

Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GG-12 grade level.
