You will serve as a IT Specialist (Customer Support) in the Information and Education Technology (IET) Directorate or marine Corps University (MCU) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will plan and deliver customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements.
You will diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported incidents.
You will research, evaluate, and provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements.
You will develop and maintain problem tracking and resolution databases.
You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain customer hardware and software.
You will develop customer support policies, procedures, and standards.
You will ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of customer support services.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and delivering information technology (IT) customer support services (i.e. installing, configuring, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training) in response to customer requirements. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Education
The following may be substituted in lieu of the above mentioned specialized experience in the Qualifications Section:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
