About the Position: This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 13 months position and may be extended up to eight years with provision to be permanent. To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
This position is obligated.
Duties
Responsible for overseeing and managing the administrative responsibilities inherent to supply management.
Directs work force to accomplish daily, weekly, monthly, and annual workload.
Conduct mid-point reviews and annual performance appraisals.
Review, resolve and/or refer employee problems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Position may be designated as emergency or mission-essential and incumbent is subject to recall to duty in times of emergency to perform time-sensitive, mission critical work.
- This position may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- This position may be required to work overtime.
- May be required to sign an Obligated position statement of understanding (SOU)

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Evaluating logistics operating procedures; Managing day-to-day operations of a supply logistics program; Providing technical advice regarding supply logistics operations, procedures, and quality standards; Evaluating subordinate employees' work performance; and Identifying developmental and training needs of employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
