You will serve as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary in the Director, Acoustic Modeling & Databases Division, Acoustics Department of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Duties
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates.
You will provide guidance on technical and administrative problems to the Division.
You will direct or manage the direction of scientific and technical projects that require advanced knowledge of underwater acoustic models and data bases.
You will plan, implement, coordinate and direct the operations and activities of the Division.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- To perform work requirements, the incumbent must be a U.S. citizen and be eligible and able to maintain a Top Secret security clearance with access to sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Additionally, a successfully completed Counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraph examination is required.
- The incumbent is required to file a Final Disclosure Statement, Form OGE-450.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience directing personnel in processing geophysical and acoustic data to develop, maintain and execute quality control and acoustic and geophysical databases. Experience planning work to be accomplished by subordinates; setting and adjusting priorities; and preparing key timelines for completion of work in accordance with mission requirements. Experience establishing geospatial standards for products dissemination through the Oceanographic and Atmospheric Master Library (OAML) process. Experience in numeric modeling. Experience planning, evaluating and executing long-range programs and projects. Experience developing near and long-term plans (e.g., cost plans, budget, mission execution strategies) to ensure mission goals and objectives are met. Experience developing plans to execute acoustic environmental data collection surveys. Experience using collected acoustic data to generate databases and on-demand products and services.

General Physical Science Series, 1301: Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. or Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Physics Series, 1310: Degree: physics; or related degree that included at least 24 semester hours in physics. or Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in physics totaling at least 24 semester hours, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Geophysics Series, 1313: Degree: that included at least 30 semester hours in mathematics (including calculus) and the physical sciences (geophysics, physics, engineering, geology, astronomy, meteorology, electronics, etc.). or Combination of education and experience -- courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Oceanography Series, 1360: Degree: major study of at least 24 semester hours in oceanography or a related discipline such as physics, meteorology, geophysics, mathematics, chemistry, engineering, geology, or biology, plus 20 additional semester hours in any combination of oceanography, physics, geophysics, chemistry, mathematics, meteorology, computer science, and engineering sciences. or Combination of education and experience -- course work as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
