You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST (ANTI-TERRORISM in the SECURITY DEPARTMENT of JB PEARL HARBOR HICKAM SEC DET.
Duties
Analyze hazards and vulnerabilities to develop appropriate response plans.
You will conduct annual Physical Security surveys and assessments to determine needed improvements.
You will administer a security education program encompassing security crime prevention, Anti-Terrorism, Force Protection, and local threat conditions for the organization.
You will brief higher authorities on the currency and accuracy of program security and analysis of program patterns and trends potentially affecting security postures.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting protective and physical security surveys; 2) Using subject matter content, instructional materials, and training techniques/methods to conduct formal and/or informal crime prevention and employee awareness programs; 3) Performing protective functions and responsibilities as established by policies, procedures, and regulations to promote, plan, and/or improve security systems; and 4) Analyzing and evaluating statistical data and crime trends for use in the preparation of oral or written reports on findings and recommendations for the prevention of future occurrences.

Education
You may qualify for the position if you have:
Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
equivalent doctoral degreeOR3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
